Biography: Mark T. Atkinson was born December 23, 1970 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he worked for the American Chamber of Commerce, London, England. He returned to Winston-Salem in 1995 to attend law school at Wake Forest University. He was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review and served as Chief Justice of the Wake Forest Moot Court Board. After receiving his law degree in 1998, Mr. Atkinson joined the firm of Hedrick, Eatman, Gardner & Kincheloe, L.L.P. in Charlotte, North Carolina. His areas of practice were workers' compensation and civil litigation. In 2000-2001, he left that firm and taught English in Quito, Ecuador and San Cristobal, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Mr. Atkinson founded the Law Office of Mark T. Atkinson in August, 2001 specializing in representation of the Hispanic/Latino population in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.

Ms. Lagos joined our office in 2005. She receives clients, answers the telephone and manages the criminal and traffic defense cases. Ms. Lagos is originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She speaks English and Spanish.

Ms. Adams handles the personal injury practice area. She is the initial client contact for our workers' compensation clients when they have any question or need. She also keeps close contact with clients with motor vehicle cases. She is originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Ms. Mejia joined our office in 2005 as Paralegal in charge of immigration cases. Originally from Panama, she received her law degree from Universidad de Panama and her LLM from Temple University. Ms. Mejia works closely with our immigration clients. She speaks English and Spanish.
